The Revolutionaires Big Band

The Revolutionaires will once again be rockin' up a storm at Twinwood this year, with their hard-hitting 40's and 50's influenced rhythm & blues - but this time they'll be in the form of their Big Band project, blasting out an 8-piece band performance with enough energy and power to fuel a power station!

With influences of Louis Jordan, Big Joe Turner, Little Richard, Chuck Berry and Roy Brown, The Revs have adopted a harder and more aggressive approach, synonymous with modern blues artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Mike Henderson, which helps create their own high energy sound.

Established within the ‘hotbed’ of the UK's North East music scene, the last decade has seen The Revolutionaires make a huge impact on the UK and European Rockin’ circuit, as well as the Blues scene. Founding member and frontman Ed has been described as "A Force of Nature", and after witnessing the phenomenal energy of his stage performance at Twinwood over the years, we'd say that's an accurate description!
