In 1941 the Rushden Salvation Army Band were invited to conduct a Morning Service at RAF Twinwood Farm. For the last twelve years the band has returned to Twinwood to recreate that Morning Service. Now small in number, the band invites other musicians to play with them, which swells their ranks to some forty bandsmen and women! During the service we welcome our local WWII Veterans and take time to remember Major Glenn Miller - not just the musician but the soldier who is still listed as "Missing"! Playing with the band will be 89 year old WWII veteran bandsman Dennis Hill - the sole surviving member of the wartime band!
